The Gold Coast Light Rail (G:link)
The Gold Coast Light Rail is Queensland’s first light rail system. Since opening in 2014, it has become a vital part of the Gold Coast’s public transport network.
Current network (2026)
- 27 stations stretching ~27 km from Helensvale to Burleigh Heads
- Flat fare of 50 cents per journey (verify current fares on Translink)
- Frequent service (every 7–10 minutes in peak)
- 24-hour service on weekends
- Modern, air-conditioned trams with free Wi-Fi
